Essay #5 Science 5th Grade
Hello, in today’s lesson I will be talking about my favorite cooking experience in food science and chef school. Let’s go.
In food science and chef school I learned a lot about vegetables, fruits, herbs and spices, and how to use them in the kitchen. I enjoyed the many cooking projects I was invited to participate in, such as homemade potato chips, coleslaw, applesauce, teas, smoothies, and frying eggs. Next I am going to talk about what I found very interesting.
I learned that if you put your hand in a hot oven without touching it, just inside of it, you won’t burn yourself, but if you put your hand inside of water a.k.a. boiling water you will burn yourself terribly. Because when you put your hand in the oven less molecules touch your hand then when you put your hand in boiling water, I find that extremely interesting, what do you think?
I was surprised when I made my mixed berry smoothie. It turned out so good, and I mean good, actually excellent, best ever, you get the point. I plan on making more of these smoothies. I’m definitely planning on making more smoothies, cakes, cupcakes, teas, and best of all my breakfast, eggs and almond butter waffles, (we stay away from high carb waffles in our house). I think that if I learn how to make all of these, I can cook for myself and give my mom a break.
