
Do you ever wonder why Emily Dickinson‘s poems are usually untitled? Well it’s because she wrote poems for her own enjoyment and she only shared them with her best friend Sister Sue.
Emily Dickinson is a famous poet, she was born in New England town of Amherst, Massachusetts in 1830. She liked writing poems, growing flowers and enjoyed cooking. The many poems she wrote she collected them on stacks of papers and eventually tied them with strings. She had quite an impressive collection over her lifetime. After she died, her friend Susan collected all of her poems and publish them, so others could enjoy Emily‘s private poems too.
