God’s supreme power in the life of Joseph

In this essay I will write about Gods supreme power in the life Joseph. Let’s get started.

As an example of God’s supreme power, reflected in the Patriarchs life, I want to talk about Joseph’s experience. Joseph could have been mad at his brothers for selling him to the Egyptians, because he received much love and favors from his father. At only 17 years old, he found him self in Egypt, as he was sold for 20 silver coins by his very brothers. I can only imagine how sad and devastated he must of felt, probably even angry.

Many years after he was sold, he was placed in a powerful position, as the man appointed by the Pharaoh to gather food provisions for the upcoming years of famine, which were revealed to the Pharaoh in a dream. The dream by the way, was interpreted by Joseph, which, led to him receiving the powerful job from the Pharaoh.

When the famine came, and his brothers traveled to Egypt to get food to take to their father, Joseph recognized them, and he had a chance to seek revenge, but, he did not do that. He was happy to see his brothers and to be able to help them. He could see the hand of God, in his entire life journey, that seem so unfair up to that point.

Instead of punishing his brothers he said to them “You may have meant it for evil, but God meant it for good.” This shows that God was with him the whole time, and it all happened according with Divine planning and in Divine timing. This is a a wonderful example of unconditional love and trust in God’s supreme power.

Thank you for reading this essay, I hope you enjoyed, and I will see you next time.
